'`'`'`'`' Johnson Family Missions '`'`'`'`' '`'`'`'`' March 2007 '`'`'`'`'`'`' Hi !fname: I couldn't wait to send out our monthly eNews! Please take the time to read this entire emailas their is a special request at the end. This last weekend was very impacting for me.The Lord gave me a very special Birthdaypresent by bringing Mark Anderson to Fiji.Mark Anderson is the International Directorof IWT, Impact World Tour. Dave Colewas also here from New Zealand. Dave wasthe National Director for IWT in New Zealand.I was appointed their driver to and from meetings. Mark spoke to a group of pastors and churchleaders on Friday morning, and it took all I had to contain my composure as my heart wasovercome with compassion and passion as itresonated with the vision Mark was laying outfor the nation of Fiji. It was not only confirming of what the Lord has been showingme over the last few months, but went way beyond my current understanding and faithfor what the Lord wants to accomplish withthe people of this nation. I heard a little of Mark's journey includinghis laying down a successful evangelistic ministry in the early 90's that was seeing tens of thousands of souls all over the earth come to the Lord. His ministry recorded over 1 million decisions for Jesus through the 70's, 80's and early 90's. Mark joined YWAM in the early 90's and shortlythereafter the ministry of IWT within YWAM wasborn. Mark shared how he had strategies forthe unreached people groups of the earth - especially the masses of Asia who have neverheard the gospel - and then how the Lord gavehim an open vision in 1995 that lasted an hour, and led into a 5 day meeting being transformedinto 5 days of face-down seeking the Lord. This vision was a tidal wave hitting the southPacific and then the waves going over the islandsand on into Asia. A similar vision was given to LorenCunninghams, the founder of YWAM. The wavesare young people fulfilling the Great Commission. He challenged the leaders that God wasn't wantingjust another crusade or tour. HIS heart wasfor the nation to be redeemed and Fiji being a lead nation in the world for the end timeharvest and a training and sending base fornot only Fijians, but nations from all over theSouth Pacific to send their youth to be trainedand sent into the end time harvest. IWT was andis simply one piece of the bigger picture thatGod has for Fiji. He shared with the Leaders that we were here in Fiji by the word of theLord, not just to do another IWT tour. Logicwould take us to cities and nations far biggerthan Fiji having far less of the witness ofthe Gospel already. He went on to share how the church leaders ofFiji in 2004 came to Kona Hawaii, the internationalYWAM base, and asked YWAM to come. Not justIWT, but YWAM. He also shared briefly aboutthe meeting in March of 2006 and the givingof the land in Fiji to YWAM for a new training center. Both ceremonies conducted with the giving ofa whale's tooth in Fijian protocol for a seriousand sober contract. As I sat there listening my heart was jumpingand melting at the same time. The little glimpsesthe Lord let me see over the past few months into this strategy become so much clearer, and my heart filled with greater faith. The Johnsons have a destiny in Fiji to see notonly the Fijians and Indians here, but many otherIslanders saved, discipled, and sent from thisnew work in Fiji, including the new campus thatwill be established on the land near Korokula.(You can see and read more about this gift ofland on our web site.) The page we are on now of the Lord's plan isprimarily the IWT, but it is so much broaderand bigger than this. A key and significantlink in the chain though will be a successfulIWT campaign in which thousands of young Fijianssurrender their hearts to the Lord. How canthey be trained and sent if they are not first saved!?!? On February 19th, Dave Cole shared a word for Fiji "Arise & Shine" This verse was also in OswaldChambers reading for the day. Isaiah 60:1 "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. 2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. 3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. 4 "Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm. 5 Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.....9 Surely the islands look to me; ...bringing your sons from afar, with their silver and gold, to the honor of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor. 10 "Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you...." Kay, Hanna, and I are part of vs 10 - as is Dave,Julie, Mark, Kylee, and the Hawaiian bases of Honoluluand Kona, and all of YWAM. My heart and prayer is that all that need to wouldcatch this vision of the Lord for Fiji and theend times harvest, and we would each do our assignedpart for the Kingdom. '`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`' We are raising funds for a vehicle purchase we willneed for ministry purposes here in Fiji. We plan on acquiring the vehicle later this month. Most things are cheaper here, except for large capital items like cars. If you would like to contribute to this project, please let us know by March 15th. A YWAMer from New Zealand is setting this up for us.We simply can get a lot more vehicle for the money thisway. He already has done this for 2 other vehicles being shipped to the other 2 major cities in Fiji in preparation for the IWT campaign. As a THANK YOU to our regular givers, and those whocontribute to this project, Curt is going to be emailingyou a link to an eBook. Curt wrote a book 15 years ago,but it was never published. He just completed puttingit in eBook form. Eventually we will make the link live on our web site.
