'`'`'`'`' Johnson Family Missions '`'`'`'`' '`'`'`'`' August 8, 2009 '`'`'`'`'`' Dear !fname: We wanted to get a few links off to you as an updatefor our missions work - and then a request - #1. Ron Gartner and Curt had an impacting timeat the conference we did to minister to pastors in the Philippines back in May. I've just updatedtheir website (I've been there webmaster for years.)Please read the recent newsletter: http://www.refugeministries.org/gartnews.htm #2. We created a new video to update you on ourwork at our website: http://www.johnsonfamilymissions.org/ #3. One of the aspects of our ministry that isreally energizing is sowing into the lives ofyoung people that are doing Gospel work. We willbe serving this significant move of the Lord righthere in Tauranga next January: http://www.call2all.org/Publisher/Article.aspx?ID=1000054422 #4. Curt is heading to the Philippines in a coupleof weeks (yes - in the dangerous region of the Philippinesif you read #1 and wondered - please pray for safety.)to run a school for a bunch of young people that willwork with us in IWT Philippines. http://www.ywamcampaigns.com/Group/Group.aspx?ID=1000032396 Here is our request: We have a small group of faithfulsupporters that between their giving and what I makein business provides for our simple lifestyle andmissions travel expenses. Thank You. We are really in need of some seed money to get theIWT vision off the ground in the Philippines. We don't have money for things like printing materialsfor our school and promotional material; officeequipement and space; travel expenses for localstaff, etc. Like us, all the staff raises theirown support, and Kay & I pass some of our support ontothese very passionate young people. If you are not a regular giver, WOULD YOU PLEASEPRAY ABOUT GIVING A one-time donation towards sowinginto the harvest of souls in the Philippines. (Oncewe get going, the church and businesses will kickin and we build a budget, etc. BUT - right now weare in great need.) I think back of the seed money in 2006 in Fiji that got the harvest started there and 17,000+young people encountered Jesus! (These wereSIGNED committment cards, not an "evangelistic"estimate.) Kay is in Rockford right now and heading back toNew Zealand in a few days. If you could get a holdof my folks to give a gift (they can get it processedfor you) before she leaves on Tuesday, that wouldbe wonderful. We need some grease for the wheels!AND - it would be a great encouragement to thesebeautifully zealous young people. Donn & Geri Johnson 704 Candlewick Dr. NE Poplar Grove, IL 61065 815-765-2248 In these final hours of human history, I am notashamed to encourage the saints that the greatestplace to invest in these turbulent times is theKingdom of God! Many blessings - Kay and I think of and pray forour supporters by name in the House of Prayer herein Tauranga often - you are so much a vital elementof our team.
