Creating and hosting your own personal website is an effective tool for communication. Websites, when under your complete control, offer options that are otherwise more difficult. If you do not have a personal website, but would like to build one that would also include all the training and tools to capture search engine rankings, like this one, here is a wonderful resource:

By publishing your newsletter and updates on-line with your own website, it gives a running history of your missions journey. You can also direct people to PayPal as another option for their giving. Paypal allows your supporters to use a credit card if they want to.



If you would like a couple examples of having your own website, you can check out these two: One is my site, and the other is a missionary whose web site work I do. You will notice that they are very simple. "Home made" is OK for this website. If you belong to a larger organization, their website will probably have all the "bells & whistles" that are needed if someone wants to do deeper research.
