Thank You Gifts

Some might be thinking that a gift as a "thank you" could be overdoing it. Maybe, but think about the last time you received an unexpected little something just because someone thought it would bless you. Felt good - huh?!? A theme that has run through all of this site is to communicate to your supporters that you see them and you as a single TEAM. TOGETHER you will accomplish great things for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. So . . . when a supporter goes above and beyond their normal commitment, showing your gratitude through the gesture of a gift is appropriate.

When we get a chance to be back in the USA, we like to take our key supporters out for a meal. We pay.

When overseas, it is actually easy now to get a gift sent to someone easily using an on-line vendor and credit card. Just about anything you can imagine you could have delivered in your name as a thank you gift.

Our favorite service is Send Out Cards.

You can not only send postcards and greeting cards, but you can include a gift to be sent with it (candy, cookies, coffees, etc.) or gift certificate in a greeting card for the recipient. This is very quick and easy, and has the added benefit of a card in your handwriting if you sign up for that service with Send Out Cards. They also allow you to send a check for up to $50.00 in a card. We not only use this for gifts, but having family back in the USA, we will use this to send money to our kids or other family members. It is a much quicker and safer way to get a little money to them than mailing a check from overseas.

Be sure to consider a Thank You gift when appropriate to your supporters. Remember that this verse applies to everyone - even us as missionaries: "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
