Closing
C. Closing: Closing is simply getting a decision. That decision can be "yes" or "no." The important thing is to get a decision. Don't let your hard work and prayer be evaporated away slowly by not closing. Getting a firm decision immediately after the presentation is good, but not common. Your potential prospects decision will more than likely come in the follow up work that you do. (See below.) When you do get a firm decision, there are some things you want to communicate right then, even if it is repetitive from your presentation: If you get a "No" or "Not Now" answer: *Be sure to thank them for their time and consideration of your work. *Ask them if you can put them on your newsletter mailing list. *Ask them if you can get back to them in the future with any special projects you might be working on. *Ask them if they know of anyone that might be interested in what you are doing. (If you can be specific that is even better: Ex: You are working in the Philippines: "Do you know of anyone that is interested in the Philippines that may have interest in our work?"
